Copaíba works steadily on the mind and senses, opening the breath and encouraging a grounded, centered state marked by inner stillness and clarity. Traditionally, it is valued for bringing presence and firmness, helping to quiet mental agitation and support focus during meditation, prayer, and ceremonial work. Many experience a sense of emotional settling, physical awareness, and renewed stability.

The copaíba tree (Copaifera spp.), often called the “oil of the forest,” is revered throughout the Amazon as a symbol of support, resilience, and ancestral strength. In Indigenous cosmology, it represents the deep roots of the forest, teaching balance, protection, and the importance of maintaining a strong foundation from which awareness may expand.

This hapé is traditionally associated with energetic cleansing and grounding, often chosen during healing rituals, moments of emotional release, or periods of spiritual realignment. It supports mental clarity, emotional balance, and a stable connection to the present moment, making it especially suitable for practices that require steadiness and inner listening.

Copaíba hapé is traditionally crafted by the Huni Kuin of Acre, Brazil, using knowledge passed down through generations of earth-based medicine and ceremonial practice.

Storage and Freshness

About Rapé (Hapé): Benefits & Safety

Rapé (hapé) is a time-honored Amazonian sacrament crafted from finely ground medicinal plants and tree ash. Traditionally administered with a bone or bamboo kuripe pipe, hapé is blown directly into the nostrils as part of sacred rituals and ceremonies.

Each blend is unique, but most fall into three categories: spiritual, healing, or fortifying. Indigenous peoples use hapé to ground the mind, clear negative energy, enhance focus, and foster a deeper connection with the spiritual realm.

Please use this sacred plant medicine with respect and clear intention—it is not meant for habitual or social use.
