About Pau Pereira Rapé (Hapé)
Where some rapés open gently, Pau Pereira arrives with purpose. A strong blend from the Katukina tribe of Acre, Brazil — forceful and grounding, traditionally worked with for emotional release, inner clarity, and preparation for deeper ceremonial practice. Strong, decisive, immediate in its sweeping presence: valued for cutting through stagnant energies, releasing held tension, and returning to a clear, centred state of awareness.
Pau Pereira (Geissospermum laeve) is a large Amazonian tree, its pale bark mottled with lichen and moss, deeply embedded in the plant knowledge of the Katukina. They burn its fallen wood to ash and work it with tobacco from tribal lands.
✓ Sourced & Verified | Pau Pereira and Tsunu are often confused online — they are different trees. We checked with our Katukina maker in Acre (July 2026).

Storage and Freshness
Storage and Freshness

It is not recommended to store hapé in the refrigerator as condensation may form inside the container upon removal.
