About Força Feminina Rapé (Hapé)

Força Feminina — "Feminine Power" — is a regular strength blend, and by the Yawanawá's own account the first female rapé formally established within the Yawanawa tradition. It is crafted by the women of the Yawanawá tribe of Acre, Brazil, and carried through the lineage of Nawashahu Yawanawá — spiritual leader and ceremonial singer, eldest daughter of Chief Biraci Nixiwaka and the pajé Putanny. Medicine work in the Yawanawa tradition was historically a male domain. It was reclaimed at the turn of this century, when Putanny and her sister Hushahu became the first women in recorded Yawanawa history to be initiated into pajelança — completing the muká dieta, a years-long initiation until then reserved for men, and, as the Yawanawá tell it, passing twice over the tests set for the men. Força Feminina comes out of that lineage, prepared by the women of the tribe by hand, in prayer, with tobacco from tribal lands and botanicals prepared according to Yawanawa custom.

The formula is as distinctive as its origins: Aroeira seeds (Schinus terebinthifolia), Star Anise (Illicium verum), Cinnamon (Cinnamomum) and Tsunu ash (Platycyamus regnellii), combined with tobacco from tribal lands — traditionally prepared during the full moon. The result is warm, aromatic, and grounding with an uplifting quality customers return to daily. "Grounding presence and feminine energy at its best — raw, powerful and so wise," one writes. Another keeps it on their shelf every morning: "it brings lightness and good vibes to my day." A blend that speaks to all who seek balance between strength and softness — not only for women.

For retreats and women's circles, Força Feminina is also available in bulk, 125 g to 1 kg — part of our full bulk rapé collection.

Storage & Shelf Life

Rapé (Hapé) snuff can remain potent for years when kept in a cool, dry, and dark location. To maintain its quality, ensure your hapé is tightly sealed and protected from any form of moisture. It is not recommended to store hapé in the refrigerator as condensation may form inside the container upon removal.

About Rapé (Hapé): Benefits & Safety

Rapé (hapé) is a traditional Amazonian preparation crafted from finely ground plants, botanicals, and tree ash, used ceremonially by Indigenous peoples of the Amazon basin across many generations.

Blends vary widely — most fall into three broad categories: Spirit & Ceremony, Grounding & Release, or Strength & Clarity — each reflecting the intentions of the tribe and maker. Traditional use is ceremonial, approached with clear intention and respect for the plants and the tradition.

Please approach this rapé with care and clear intention — best used in ceremony or with conscious purpose.
