About Mulungu Rapé (Hapé)

This healing blend, crafted by the Yawanawa tribe of Acre, Brazil, draws from one of the most striking trees in the Amazon basin — Mulungu (Erythrina mulungu), the Coral Tree, whose scarlet blossoms light the forest canopy in waves of flame. The Yawanawa work with the bark of this tree alongside tobacco from tribal lands, following a lineage of knowledge passed through generations of ceremonial practice.

Mulungu is the evening sacrament. "I use Mulungu to get centered and wind down from the day," writes one practitioner — "it puts me in a relaxed and introspective state to look at my day." Others speak of "a journey toward calmness and a sense of oneness," and a "strong grounding" that quiets the whole of a person. Best reached for when the work of the day is done and the work of the spirit can begin.

Storage and Freshness

It is not recommended to store hapé in the refrigerator as condensation may form inside the container upon removal.

About Rapé (Hapé): Benefits & Safety

Rapé (hapé) is a traditional Amazonian preparation crafted from finely ground plants, botanicals, and tree ash, used ceremonially by Indigenous peoples of the Amazon basin across many generations.

Blends vary widely — most fall into three broad categories: spiritual, healing, or fortifying — each reflecting the intentions of the tribe and maker. Traditional use is ceremonial, approached with clear intention and respect for the plants and the tradition.

Please approach this rapé with care and clear intention — best used in ceremony or with conscious purpose.
