About Mulateiro Rapé (Hapé)
This regular strength blend, crafted by the Katukina tribe of Acre, Brazil, features Mulateiro (Calycophyllum spruceanum) — a sacred Amazonian master plant revered across the forest for its quality of release and renewal. Named for its bark, which peels away each year in layers, Mulateiro is the tree that does not hold on. The Katukina pair it with Tsunu ash (Platycyamus regnellii) and tobacco from tribal lands to bring that same quality into ceremony.
Practitioners speak of a settling — quiet, peaceful, an easing of whatever was being carried. "Mulateiro settles me," writes one longtime user; another calls it their favourite, noting it "always puts a smile on my face." Like the tree that releases its bark each year without resistance, this blend invites the same quality in ceremony: letting go of what no longer belongs, and resting in the stillness that follows.

Storage and Freshness

It is not recommended to store hapé in the refrigerator as condensation may form inside the container upon removal.
