About Aniz Rapé (Hapé)

Aniz is the sweetest rapé in the Katukina range. It is worked with to calm mental activity, soften emotional tension, and hold a centred, attentive state — the Katukina give its purpose plainly: concentration and meditation. Approachable in strength yet genuinely fortifying, it suits practitioners who want presence without intensity.

The Katukina call it Rome Pote Hishi. The star anise seed (Illicium verum) is dried and toasted, then pounded for hours in a wooden pilão together with Tsunu ash and tobacco from tribal lands, and passed twice through a sieve. Three things only: the seed, the ash, the tobacco. Aniz is one of just two Katukina blends built on Tsunu rather than on its own wood.

Hapé snuff can remain potent for years when kept in a cool, dry, and dark location. To maintain its quality, ensure your hapé is tightly sealed and protected from any form of moisture. It is not recommended to store hapé in the refrigerator as condensation may form inside the container upon removal.
