About Bulk Seven Herbs Rapé (Hapé)

This healing rapé from the Huni Kuin tribe of Acre, Brazil is a ceremonial blend of seven sacred plants combined with tobacco from tribal lands.

The seven: Copaiba (Copaifera langsdorffii), Cumaru (Dipteryx odorata), Canela de Velho (Senna acuruensis), Alfavaca (Ocimum sp.), Guiné (Petiveria alliacea), Louro (Laurus nobilis), and Tsunu ash (Platycyamus regnellii).

Several of these plants carry ceremonial weight that extends far beyond the Huni Kuin world. Cumaru — the baunilha da Amazônia, the vanilla of the Amazon — is documented across Amazonian peoples as a traditional rapé ingredient, its coumarin-rich seeds bringing the warm, distinctive fragrance the blend is known for. Guiné is one of the most widely recognised plants in Brazilian sacred tradition: central to Candomblé and Umbanda defumações and protective ritual works, linked to Ogum and Exu, described in the ethnobotanical literature as "a serious ritual instrument, not an herb for everyday use." Alfavaca, associated with Oxum and Oxalá in Afro-Brazilian practice, is used for spiritual cleansing, harmonising, and opening pathways. Together these three alone span the breadth of Brazilian ceremonial tradition — from the Amazonian forest to the Afro-Brazilian terreiro.

Customers describe it as "potent, complex, with both grounding and uplifting properties" — a blend that moves across multiple registers at once rather than landing on a single note. The delivery is smooth — "processes smoothly, integrates easily" — and the scent, led by Cumaru, immediately distinctive. "Strong blend, smells great" — and consistently one of the most returned-to in our range.

Storage & Shelf Life

About Rapé (Hapé)

Rapé (hapé) is a traditional Amazonian preparation crafted from finely ground plants, botanicals, and tree ash, used ceremonially by Indigenous peoples of the Amazon basin across many generations.

Blends vary widely — most fall into three broad categories: spiritual, healing, or fortifying — each reflecting the intentions of the tribe and maker. Traditional use is ceremonial, approached with clear intention and respect for the plants and the tradition.

Please approach this rapé with care and clear intention — best used in ceremony or with conscious purpose.
