About Elixir Rapé (Hapé)

This light blend, crafted by the Nukini — the People of the Jaguar — of Acre, Brazil, centres on Ingá-cipó (Inga edulis), the ice cream bean vine, one of the most widely cultivated trees in the Amazonian agroforest. Valued across the Amazon for its food, shade, and timber, Ingá takes on a different role in Nukini ceremony: its ash forms the alkaline base of this rapé. In Nukini tradition it is the women who gather, formulate, and prepare the rapé — their knowledge and care embedded in every batch. This blend combines Tsunu (Platycyamus regnellii) ash and tobacco from tribal lands.

The Nukini use rapé as a tool of presence and connection — in ceremony, to centre the mind, sharpen awareness, and open what they describe as a space of clarity and inner quiet. Elixir reflects this directly: customers describe it as "focusing," and as something that "feels invigorating and calming at the same time" — a state of openness that is grounded without heaviness, clear without force.

Explore how indigenous Amazonian tribes approach rapé ceremony in our Rapé Ceremony Guide — from intention-setting to the tools they use.

This Elixir rapé is meticulously crafted by the Nukini tribe of Acre, Brazil, for our customers.

Storage and Freshness

Hapé snuff can remain potent for years when kept in a cool, dry, and dark location. To maintain its quality, ensure your hapé is tightly sealed and protected from any form of moisture. It is not recommended to store hapé in the refrigerator as condensation may form inside the container upon removal.

About Rapé (Hapé): Benefits & Safety

Rapé (hapé) is a traditional Amazonian preparation crafted from finely ground plants, botanicals, and tree ash, used ceremonially by Indigenous peoples of the Amazon basin across many generations.

Blends vary widely — most fall into three broad categories: Spirit & Ceremony, Grounding & Release, or Strength & Clarity — each reflecting the intentions of the tribe and maker. Traditional use is ceremonial, approached with clear intention and respect for the plants and the tradition.

Please approach this rapé with care and clear intention — best used in ceremony or with conscious purpose.
