About Tsunu Extra Strong Rapé (Hapé)

Tsunu Extra Strong Rapé — one of our most popular and best-selling blends — is a spiritual formulation crafted by the Katukina, combining Tsunu tree ash (Platycyamus regnellii) with tobacco from tribal lands, fortified through ancient fermentation with jungle honey and plant sap. An exclusive Katukina formulation, created for Shamanic Supply.

The effect is immediate — "a nice bite that clears the senses and grounds you in a moment, the meditation that follows is deepened by the vibration of the Hapé and the beating of your heart." Its spicy, floral, earthy aroma carries a warm vanilla sweetness from the honey fermentation, fostering deep introspection — ideal for evening ceremonial use, as traditionally favored by the Katukina. A favourite among experienced practitioners, best used sparingly in small portions; expect a slow build into a stillness that stays long after the initial contact. For a gentler entry into the Katukina Tsunu tradition, our Tsunu Hapé offers the same lineage at a more accessible strength.

Hand-prepared using traditional methods — dried, pounded, fermented, and finely sieved — each batch embodies the Katukina's ancestral wisdom and our shared commitment to ethical, small-batch production.

This Tsunu Extra Strong rapé is meticulously crafted by the Katukina tribe of Acre, Brazil, for our customers.

Storage & Shelf Life

Rapé (Hapé) snuff can remain potent for years when kept in a cool, dry, and dark location. To maintain its quality, ensure your hapé is tightly sealed and protected from any form of moisture. It is not recommended to store hapé in the refrigerator as condensation may form inside the container upon removal.

About Rapé (Hapé): Benefits & Safety

Rapé (hapé) is a traditional Amazonian preparation crafted from finely ground plants, botanicals, and tree ash, used ceremonially by Indigenous peoples of the Amazon basin across many generations.

Blends vary widely — most fall into three broad categories: spiritual, healing, or fortifying — each reflecting the intentions of the tribe and maker. Traditional use is ceremonial, approached with clear intention and respect for the plants and the tradition.

Please approach this rapé with care and clear intention — best used in ceremony or with conscious purpose.
