About Tsunu Six Herbs Rapé (Hapé)
Tsunu Six Herbs is a strong rapé of the Katukina tradition — tabaco de corda from tribal lands, cured in plant sap and wild-bee honey, combined with Tsunu tree ash (Platycyamus regnellii) and six plant allies. The tobacco is the same honey-cured base as our Tsunu Extra Strong; the six herbs are what set the two apart.
The six: Cumaru seeds (Dipteryx odorata), star anise (Illicium verum), mint (Mentha arvensis), lemon balm (Melissa officinalis), Nissural leaves, and Katsaral (Mikania glomerata). Each herb contributes its own aromatic thread — sweet warmth, spice, freshness, citrus, earth — woven into a unified whole.
What practitioners return for is the quality of the complexity: not forceful, but wide. “Smooth but powerful,” one describes; “a dark herbal aroma” that settles with depth; “much less coarse than the Tsunu Extra Strong,” notes a third. “Feels like a warm blanket,” another writes — suited equally to morning practice and formal ceremony. It is not recommended to store hapé in the refrigerator as condensation may form inside the container upon removal.
